One of the first things you need to think about when you are looking for small kitchen appliances is how much space you have and where they will go in your kitchen. Some appliances will `live` on worktops all of the time. Classic examples of this are kettles and toasters. Others may be stored in a cupboard until you need to use them after which they go back in the cupboard again. Both the cupboard and surface space you have available will thus have a bearing on the appliance that you buy.
Typically, the most familiar equipments that you can find in a kitchen are refrigerators and cabinets for food storage, a sink for dishwashing and cleaning food, and, of course, a stove for cooking.
A kitchen without a microwave is like a prison cell without bars. The kitchen appliance saves on time and energy that could otherwise be used in heating cold food. Thawing and heating food only takes minutes. Even though people find it very expensive to use in terms of the amount of power energy it uses, there's no doubt that this is one kitchen appliance that will last for many years to come. Some people also do have doubts about the food heated using the appliance. Despite the questions, no one has proven any. It's therefore better to concentrate on its god side rather than its bad sides-which have not been proved.
