While one-bowl sinks are almost ubiquitous in domestic kitchens, there's a lot to be said for some of the alternatives. Two-bowl sinks, for example, offer enough space for you to do food preparation and washing-up at the same time, without the risk of dropping your carrots into soapy water. However, they do take up a lot of space, which means they might not be suited to smaller kitchens where space is tight.
Fireclay kitchen sinks, another sink in the luxury kitchen type, is made of porcelain that is thicker, denser and heavier than the regular china clay. Due to these characteristics fireclay kitchen sinks are more durable and smooth than the ordinary vitreous china. Stainless steel kitchen sinks are the most commonly used luxury kitchen sink as they are corrosion resistant and easily available everywhere. Stainless steel kitchen sinks are usually made with high gauge stainless steel for making them dent- resistant. It has a bright, shining and attractive appearance and will liven up the entire kitchen. They will go well with all types of countertops and is very easy to maintain compared to other stone or ceramic kitchen sinks.
Enamel sinks are less costly than solid surface and porcelain sinks. They are less durable as they can be chipped from dropping dishes or pots and pans in them. Enamel kitchen sinks require more maintenance and keeping it clean can be a chore.
